Tochigi Autumn Float Festival Parade

Take part in one of the most traditional autumn festivals in Japan. Tochigi autumn float festival Parade has been taking place every 5 years since the Meiji Period (1884).

Date: Saturday October 18th and Sunday 19th 2006
Location: Tochigi City in Tochigi Prefecture
Participants: People aged 10 and over. Family and groups welcome.
Ticket: 1500 yen / person (valid for 1day) (limited to25 participants per day)

Schedule -- Saturday October 18th and Sunday 19th. 2006 --
　12:30 Meeting at the Tochigi Float Assembly Hall
　12:40 The observation tour inside the hall
　13:30 A brief orientation
　14:00 Opening
　17:00 Closing

Note: Participants should be lightly dressed. Tabi (traditional Japanese socks) and zouri (traditional Japanese slippers) are available at site from 2000 – 2500 yen. The ticket fee includes the entrance fee for the Tochigi Float Assembly Hall (Tochigi Dashi Kaikan), special festival beer and a festival towel. Please note accommodations are not provided for the festival participants.

Reservation: Send email including name, address, number, email address and the number of tickets you would like to info@genki-japan.com by Saturday November 10th. Please indicate shoe size if you need tabi and zouri. The information will be treated with care and will not be used for other purposes.

１２０年の歴史を持つ栃木山車祭りで、外国人山車を体験しよう

日本の祭りは、見ているだけでは面白くない。やっぱり参加です。
今回は１２０年の歴史を持つ栃木秋祭りの山車を体験するツアーを計画しました。

＜企画内容＞
栃木秋祭り　伝統的な山車を引いてみよう

＜応募要項＞

時期　；　２００６年１１月１８日（土）、１９日（祝・日）
場所　；　栃木県栃木市
対象　；　明治１７年から続く日本の山車祭りや栃木に関心がある外国からお越しの方でしたらどなたでも参加可能です。
　　　　　５年に一度の開催です。この機会の是非体験してみてください。
　　　　　　＊両日参加・一日参加どちらも可能です
　　　　　　＊親子参加、グループ参加、大歓迎です
年齢　；　１０歳以上・男女
費用　；　１５００円／名（一日単位）
　　　　　　＊栃木山車会館の入館券が含まれます
　　　　　　＊特製てぬぐい・栃木秋祭り特性ビールセット（6本入り）を進呈
　　　　　　＊法被（はっぴ）の洗濯費用他として使用します
準備　；　軽装・足袋・草履（足袋や草履がない方は運動靴やサンダルでをご準備下さい）
　　　　　　＊法被をお貸しいたします
　　　　　　＊足袋や草履が必要な方は事前に足のサイズをお伝え頂けましたら当日準備をいたしますので、ご注文下さい。
